High school contest submissions for 2018 are now closed.
Each year, we seek the most outstanding pieces of poetry and prose in the surrounding high school communities to be included as a feature in Grub Street. Contest winners in each genre receive a prize of $100, as well as their work being published in our nationally-recognized literary magazine.
The Grub Street staff selects finalists, and asks an established author to serve as a judge. Past judges include Dylan Landis, Elissa Schappell, and Margot Livesey.
Our judge for next year's high school contest will be announced in November.
